Roles and responsibilities
As a support worker in a supported accommodation setting, your key responsibilities and requirements include:
Providing practical support and guidance to young people according to their individual care plans, helping them develop the skills needed for independent living and educational success.
Maintaining positive working relationships with young people, staff, and professionals through effective communication at all times.
Assisting young people in Education, Employment, and Training, and supporting their journey towards achieving accredited learning qualifications by documenting and submitting completed work to the relevant instructor.
Establishing and maintaining appropriate community connections, such as educational provisions, sports centers, and youth clubs.
