Roles and responsibilities
As a support worker in a supported accommodation setting, your key responsibilities and requirements include:
- Providing practical support and guidance to young people according to their individual care plans, helping them develop the skills needed for independent living and educational success.
- Maintaining positive working relationships with young people, staff, and professionals through effective communication at all times.
- Assisting young people in Education, Employment, and Training, and supporting their journey towards achieving accredited learning qualifications by documenting and submitting completed work to the relevant instructor.
- Establishing and maintaining appropriate community connections, such as educational provisions, sports centers, and youth clubs.
