Glowing Minds offers a structured, strengths-based ‘Independent Living Journey’. Young people co-create a bespoke workbook to track their progress towards independent living skills. They can also work towards AQA accreditation, gaining valuable qualifications and a sense of accomplishment.
Our personalised support plans focus on individual needs and goals, adapting as circumstances change. We collaborate with social workers, leaving care teams, CAMHS, and other professionals to create positive outcomes. Action plans address specific challenges, including referrals to specialist services when necessary.

- Partnering with reputable leasing agents known for safe rentals.

Glowing Minds prioritizes safety and suitability in property selection. For each approved property, we conduct a Locality Risk Assessment (updated every 2 years) considering crime rates, exploitation risks, and land-related hazards. We also perform individual location risk assessments for each young person.
Regular health and safety inspections are carried out on all properties, with detailed records maintained. This includes:
- Fire safety checks (weekly tests, monthly evacuations, emergency light testing)
- Water temperature monitoring
- Comprehensive health and safety risk assessments

Glowing Minds properties offer a safe, comfortable home environment. Our homes are well-decorated and furnished, providing young people with their own lockable bedroom and ample personal space. Each room includes a bed, wardrobes, chest of drawers, lockable storage, chair, TV, curtains or blinds, and a desk (where space allows).
Shared areas feature modern bathrooms, fully equipped kitchens with dining spaces, comfortable lounges with TVs, and laundry facilities. We also provide access to computers, Wi-Fi, telephones, and recreational amenities like gaming consoles, pool tables, and creative materials.
Glowing Minds maintains strong partnerships with reputable letting agents to source and lease suitable properties. We conduct rigorous checks to ensure full compliance with the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006, Insolvency Act 1986, Fraud and money laundering legislation, Modern Slavery Act 2015, and other relevant laws. We provide the Council with complete landlord details for all approved properties to facilitate their legal and safeguarding responsibilities.
